This was such an exciting and meticulously designed home. There was a old broken down house that we gutted and remodelled. When I say meticulous I mean meticulous from boundary to boundary to the last millimetre. We actually sent the surveyor to double check the site. The first floor was built with Pin oak beams on steel brackets we designed. The beams supported plywood boards and carpeted over. The balconies was slabs and had to be calculated perfectly in levels for rain not to enter. The trusses was custom built 70mm trusses. Normally trusses are 38mm. We prepared all the technical drawings for the local authority as well as the construction drawings for Quantity surveyors and engineers. Do you know it is very important to work out your parking layouts and energy efficiency on all buildings. Hence the reason for limited concrete slabs due to limited access to site with heavy vehicles. We endorse sustainable green buildings.
